Charlotte's Smiles

Charlotte’s Uncle Dave runs London Marathon.

On Sunday 26th April 09 David Grimes, Charlotte’s uncle took part in the London Marathon.
David had been training hard for months before and had even got married two weeks before the Marathon.
He wanted to run the marathon in memory of his Niece our name sake Charlotte Coates and also to raise money for Charlotte’s smiles.
Last year he took part in the Great North run raising funds for Charlotte’s smiles that was a half marathon 13 miles.

It was a really good day. Thousands of people had gone down to London to run for their chosen charities and the support was tremendous.
David completed the London Marathon in 5hrs 15mins and has raised £620 for Charlotte’s smiles which was a fantastic effort.
So we would all like to thank David for all his support and commitment to training for the 26 miles, and as David’s sister and Charlotte’s mum I would just like to say how proud I am of him.
